Story

<sub>Dust had never seen snow. It was quite bright, almost reflecting the sky, like ice would. It was also cold, like ice, and everywhere… He didn't like it, he decided, but he kept close to his human, knowing that she'd find their way back to warmth, though… he was sure it was that way… Dust whined, making his discomfort clear to his human. He gave a quick glance behind them to see if he could see the house they were staying warm in until today, but he didn't see it. "In a while, Dust. Just be patient. You'll be back under the quilt in no time." He heard "quilt", though he hadn't been paying too close attention to what she was saying.

Out they marched, into the familiar ring. Dust had never had so many strange dogs surrounding him before. The human that also walked about the ring came over and did a thorough check if him. He'd usually wag, but he was more concerned with finishing this trot. It took longer than he had liked. They made them line up, lots of pointing, and more walking around. Finally, when his nose was starting to frost, his human dropped a jacket onto his back. It was similar to the one he wore for coursing, but it was soft inside and thick. Instantly, he felt much better and even managed a little wag. "Goog job, boy," she said. Dust looked up into her face, tilted his head, "Home, now?" his eyes said…</sub>
