Perfect Fit

Sleeping in Vendel's old bed, which Ven's been trying to destroy for the last few months. Vendel actually tore apart the pillow that'd served as his second bed. I put the bed in a box and it serves well. But the pup prefers cement most of the time, having lived in a 6x6 kennel.

The pup actually has a terrible infection on his neck. Apparently from a bug bite. Odd, but if it's from an abajarde (very tiny ant, very painful, blisters), I believe it. We got meds for it, and when I apply the superficial medicine, his leg scratches the air, so it's got sensation. I'm worried about whether or not it'll grow hair. I'm also concerned if it'll become something worse. Our neighbor's dog was bit by a rat, had to spend 9k to treat it, but then it grew something like a tumor there after that treatment and the guy who cared for the dogs either died or went to jail and the dog hasn't gotten it removed yet.

I found him rather inactive and dull when we got him, which had me worried, since Vendel, in comparison, was very bright, inquisitive, active, and aware of his surroundings and the humans that came by at six weeks of age. This pup was two days older than that. (Vendel's mother kind of tried to keep away from the pups after they grew his teeth. This one was living in a backyard that held dangerous ants that had already given him and his brother an awful infection, so excuse me for not being sorry about taking them away early.) I suppose a kennel and toys aren't really much for mental stimulation. A few days after we took him in, he's engaged with our older pup and us (beyond what was two inches off the ground) and has gotten his running pads on XD
